for centuries there
has been a splendid domaine,
at
Arpaillargues ...
On this generous terroir situated in the heart of the Uzège, the history of the vineyard is as ancient as that of Roman province. One of our earliest predecessors, Arpillus, who lived at the time of the building of Pont du Gard, gave his name to the village.
After having belonged to several different families from the medieval
times until beginning of the 19th century, the domaine became that
of the Deleuze
in 1820.
Gabrielle, the wife of Louis Rochetin
ran the domaine until the beginning of the last century. Today, her
descendants continue to work this vineyard and are pleased to welcome
you.
The village has always seen a delightful vineyard with its defferent grape varieties. On the hillsides and on the Grand Serre d'Aureilhac, syrah, grenache, mourvèdre, merlot, cabernet, chardonnay, white grenache, petit verdot et viognier await the grape harvest to give their very best.
Here at the domaine we welcome them as our guests of honourn inviting them to express their characteristics. The winery becomes a place of great temptation that the visitor is unable to resist once he has tasted the vins de pays Duché d'Uzès and du Pays d'Oc that our cellar offers.
